Terms & Conditions

Terms & Conditions — Conditions générales de séjour

Last updated: June 2026

These terms and conditions govern all bookings made directly with Château de Flottemanville, operated by Bertrand Lucas, 554 rue de la croix des frênes, Le Château, 50700 Flottemanville, France. By completing a booking, you agree to these terms.

1. Bookings

Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of the required deposit and written confirmation from Château de Flottemanville. A booking constitutes a contract between the guest(s) and the property owner, Bertrand Lucas.

The person making the booking is responsible for ensuring that all members of their party comply with these terms and conditions.

2. Prices

All prices are quoted in Euros (€) and include VAT where applicable. Prices are per property per night unless otherwise stated. A small tourist tax (taxe de séjour) — around €1–2 per adult, per night — is levied by the Communauté d’Agglomération Le Cotentin and is not included in the prices shown. It applies to guests aged 18 and over (children under 18 are exempt). This is a standard local charge, also collected automatically by Booking.com, Airbnb, and other booking platforms. The exact amount will appear on your invoice.

We guarantee the best available price when booking directly on this website.

3. Payment

Payment is processed securely via our online booking system (Sirvoy). Accepted payment methods are displayed at checkout. The full balance is due as indicated during the booking process.

4. Cancellation policy

For all bookings made directly on this website, the following cancellation policy applies:

  • More than 7 days before arrival: Full refund.
  • Less than 7 days before arrival (or no-show): The total booking amount is non-refundable.

You can cancel or modify your booking at any time through our online portal at chateau-flottemanville.com/guest-portal/ (the link is also included in your booking confirmation email). Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method.

Bookings made through third-party platforms (Booking.com, Expedia, Airbnb, etc.) are subject to that platform’s cancellation terms, which may differ from this policy.

We recommend that guests take out appropriate travel insurance to cover cancellation costs.

The maximum number of guests permitted per property is as stated in the property description. This includes children. Exceeding the stated occupancy is not permitted without prior agreement and may result in additional charges or cancellation of the booking without refund.
